Jonathan Peck is a Baumhart Scholar MBA from the Quinlan Business School of Loyola University Chicago. He has received numerous accolades, including the 2024 Haywood Burns Institute’s James Bell Racial Justice & Structural Well-Being Training Series Certificate of Achievement and the 2021 Champion of Social Justice Award by the Chicago African Americans In Philanthropy. Previously, he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Tucson Urban League Inc. He currently serves as Owner and Advisor of Strategic Advice Services, and as President and CEO of Civic Lab Inc. His experience includes his role as Institutional Giving Coordinator for Alternatives, Inc., where he also served as the South & West Side Coordinator for Restorative Justice. His career began as a community organizer, eventually advancing to Associate Director and Co-Director of the Southwest Youth Collaborative (SWYC), a Chicago-based organization dedicated to the healthy development of low-income children, youth, and families. As an advisor, he provides strategic guidance in organizational development, strategic planning, political campaigns, nonprofit executive leadership, and business management. A Master Facilitator, Organizer, Trainer, Coach, and Mentor, has delivered these services to thousands throughout his career. Currently, he is a Socially Responsible Practitioner Teacher at Adler University, Chicago Campus, where he has contributed to the training of over 2,500 graduate students. He has played a pivotal role in community relations and police accountability in Chicago, co-authoring Chicago Is Not Broke, facilitating over 500 workshops, and co-launching The POWER Institute to train more than 5,000 leaders. He serves as an advisor to several groups, including the Community Justice Network for Youth and the Cook County Chicago Task Force on Racial and Ethnic Disparities. He has a wealth of experience in community development in Latin America, Southern Africa, East Africa, North America, Central America, and Southeast Asia. He has provided assistance with people exchanges in Kenya, worked to end Apartheid in South Africa, and supported initiatives in Nicaragua. His most recent endeavors include assisting at the Naivasha Prison Complex in Kenya, providing fiscal management support to executive leaders establishing programs in Ghana and Mexico, and participating in a marketing exchange in Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia.
