Yoana Tchoukleva

Yoana Tchoukleva (she/they) is an attorney, community organizer and restorative justice circle keeper dedicated to advancing a community-led vision for justice, healing and transformation. She has held dozens of restorative justice accountability processes, both inside of carceral institutions and in the community. Most recently, she served as Assistant District Attorney in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office where she expanded access to Restorative Justice Diversion for youth and adults facing felony charges. Currently, she teaches Restorative Justice Diversion at UC Berkeley School of Law, leads a new reentry project at Impact Justice, serves as associate member of the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee, and supports many movements for change. Yoana has been featured on multiple platforms, including the national podcast “This is Actually Happening”. When not working, Yoana loves to dance and dream about how we can learn to live in right relationship with each other and the Earth.
