Generational Activism – a storytelling ceremony
A person intentionally engaging with tension that they inherit through their family or ancestry. Respectfully interrogates cultural and social norms, claiming a way of life anchored in one’s inner guidance. Consequently, they inspire others to pave their own unique paths.
One might explore this through their career, their engagement with their family, or simply in their own experience of their personal story. These metabolic processes exist in a complex system of the seen and unseen. Our work in Generational Activism moves in all directions: towards past, present, and future generations.
In this time of great unease and upheaval, we feel it’s more important than ever to look to one another, to connection and storytelling as pathways towards a more peaceful world. What can we learn and gift to each other when we look inward to our generational inheritance?

김 효영 Minna Kim daylights as a K-8 curriculum developer for social-emotional literacy programs and a kids yoga instructor, while moonlighting as a devoted participant in community dreamwork and an aspiring children’s book author inspired by her Korean heritage and her experience of humans as extensions of Nature. She is obsessed with dogs (anything fluffy, really), picture books, and tending to her inner kids, who are a bit shy, endlessly curious, and already wondering who the heck you are.
